If I can suggest any improvements, it would be to add options for breath pauses to the breathing patterns. Breathing Zone is my new app for daily controlled breathing and meditation sessions. I wasn’t sure about this as the information on the app store and its web page is fairly basic and the developer is not contactable to ask questions but it costs less than a cup of coffee so I took a risk. I can’t remember how many similar apps I’ve tried and deleted. I’ve been looking for ages for an uncluttered well designed breathing/meditation app that syncs to Apple’s Health app and doesn’t need a monthly subscription and doesn’t have ads. At the end of your first session a popup will request access to the Health app to sync your session’s mindfulness minutes. You swipe between 3 screens: an activity monitor, settings, and the minimalist breathing space where there are no buttons you simply tap to start or pause and long tap to end a session. There are options for voice, music or other sounds. This is an elegantly crafted app that offers four breathing patterns whose breath per minute rate and session duration - up to 1 hour - can be adjusted. If you want reminders, inspirational quotes, expert teachers, celebrities reading bedtime stories, or a community, then this app isn’t for you.
